3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical IDC 558, Run and Tap, Flame Retardant connects 0.5 mm² to 1.5 mm² (tap) wire end to a through (run) wire and insulates the connection. This connector has a unique ‘U’ contact that provides a quick and dependable electrical connection.
Get a quick, dependable and insulated electrical connection with 3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical IDC 558, Run and Tap, Flame Retardant. The connector electrically connects a 0.5mm to 1.5mm (tap) wire end to a through (run) wire. A live spring joint is made by driving the U contact down into the connector. As the U contact is pressed into the connector, it grasps the conductors as it displaces insulation.
